We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA across both the public storefront and the dealer workspace.
Accessible storefronts help dealers serve more people, and an accessible workspace must work for the person using it throughout the day, whatever their sight, hearing, mobility, or dexterity.
What is built in and checked
These are acceptance criteria in our own design system, not aspirations. A change that breaks one of them is a change we treat as broken:
- Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus indicator and a logical focus order.
- Correct headings, landmarks, labels, field errors, dialog semantics, and live regions.
- Contrast meeting WCAG 2.2 AA for text, controls, focus indicators, and status. A dealer choosing their own brand colour is warned when it fails, and the product derives a darker shade rather than shipping unreadable text.
- Interactive targets of at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels.
- Complete operation at 200% zoom and at 320 CSS pixels wide, without two-dimensional scrolling.
- Reduced motion honoured: nonessential animation is removed for anyone who asks their system for that.
- State never carried by colour alone, and controls that remain understandable without placeholder text or hover.
- Counted phrases that follow each language's real plural rules, so text stays grammatical when read aloud.
Known limitations
The following limitations are currently known:
- Accessibility is tested internally as part of release validation; independent audit evidence is not currently available.
- Content a dealership supplies affects the result. A photograph published without alternative text is not described to a screen reader, and while the product asks for that text, it does not refuse the photograph.
- Generated PDF documents are not yet tagged for assistive technology.
- Dealers remain responsible for the accessibility of content they supply and for determining the legal duties that apply to their own services.
Tell us where it fails
If you hit a barrier — on this website, on a dealership's storefront, or in the workspace — write to us at the address below. Tell us the page and what happened. We will reply, and we will tell you honestly whether and when we can fix it.
If we cannot fix something quickly, we will offer another way to complete the task.
